要約　目的：白内障と翼状片の同時手術の結果の報告と評価。対象と方法：過去51か月間に白内障と翼状片の同時手術を行い，4か月以上の経過を追えた154眼を対象とした。男性53眼，女性101眼で，年齢は平均76歳であった。翼状片には単純切除または結膜弁移植を行った。翼状片単独手術として結膜弁移植を行った87眼を対照とした。結果：翼状片の再発は同時手術眼では8.0％，対照群では10.0％にあり，有意差がなかった。角膜乱視が術前に倒乱視のときには術後の屈折が目標よりも近視化し，直乱視のときには目標と一致した。術前に倒乱視があると術後の乱視に有意差がなく，直乱視があると角膜乱視が軽減した。結論：翼状片の再発率は，白内障との同時手術群と単独手術とで有意差がなかった。翼状片が大きく，直乱視があると同時手術で角膜乱視が減少した。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the outcome of simultaneous surgery for cataract and pterygium. Cases and Method：This retrospective study was made on 154 eyes that received cataract and pterygium surgery in the past 51 months. The series comprised 53 male and 101 female eyes. The age averaged 76 years. Another group of 87 eyes that received pterygium surgery alone served as control. Cases were followed up for 4 months or longer. Results：Pterygium recurred in 8.0％ of 154 eyes and in 10.0％ of control. There was no significant difference between the two groups. Eyes with inverse astigmatism became myopic than the target value after surgery. Eyes with regular astigmatism showed refraction as planned. Initial inverse astigmatism remained the same after surgery. Regular astigmatism decreased after surgery. Conclusion：Rate of recurrence of pterygium was the same whether surgery was performed for pterygium alone or also for cataract. Regular astigmatism decreased after surgery.
