多目的用剤の変更が有効であったコンタクトレンズ眼障害の3例

Switching of multipurpose solution was effective for eye complications in three contact lens wearers

要約　背景：多目的用剤は，ソフトコンタクトレンズ（SCL）の消毒，洗浄，すすぎ，保存に使われるが，これによる眼障害が増加している。その成分や成分バランス，不適切な使用などが原因として推定されている。目的：多目的用剤によると推定されるSCL眼障害が，別の多目的用剤に変更することで改善した3症例の報告。症例：いずれも20歳代のSCL装用者で，充血または乾燥感を訴えた。いずれも多目的用剤を使用していた。経過：それまでの多目的用剤をエピカ^®コールドに変更した。充血または乾燥感は，全例で3または4日後に消失した。結論：エピカ^®コールドには天然系成分を含み，細胞毒性を抑制し，眼を潤す効果があるために奏効したと推定される。

Abstract.　Background：Multipurpose solution is used to sterilize,clear,rinse and to conserve soft contact lens（SCL）,but may cause complications due to its toxicity and improper use. Purpose：To report improved eye problems in 3 cases after switching of multipurpose solution for SCL to another brand. Cases：All were adults in the third decade,were using multipurpose solution,and complained of hyperemia or dryness while wearing SCL. Outcome：Multipurpose solution was switched to another brand,Epica^®Cold. Hyperemia or dryness disappeared on day 3 or 4 of switching in all the cases. Conclusion：The observed effect of Epica^®Cold may be due to its natural component with less toxicity and better wettability to the eye.
