要約　背景：マイボーム腺機能不全症の治療として梗塞したマイボーム腺を鉗子で圧迫する方法がとられるが，疼痛があることと処置に時間がかかることが問題である。目的：市販の美容機器を用いて試作したマイボーム腺吸引器の報告。方法：市販の美容機器の先端に1mlの注射器の外筒を加工したものを装着し，吸引器とした。これを乾燥感や異物感のある高齢者20例40眼に対して使用した。結果：本吸引器によるマイボーム腺吸引で疼痛を訴える患者は少なかった。軽傷例では数回瞼縁部をなぞるだけで分泌物を除去できた。重症例には温熱療法を併用した。結論：試作したマイボーム腺吸引器は簡便かつ短時間で疼痛がなく，マイボーム腺梗塞の治療に有用である。

Abstract.　Background：As conventional therapeutic method, meibomian gland dysfunction is treated by compression of the lesion with forceps. This method may be painful and may take too much time. Purpose：To report our newly designed device to treat meibomian gland dysfunction. Method：An aspirator was made by attaching the outside portion of a 1ml injection syringe to the tip of an aspirator used for aesthetic purposes. This aspirator was used to treat 40 eyes of 20 patients with meibomian infrarction. Results：Treatment with the newly designed aspirator was generally painless. Light or moderate cases could be treated by applying the aspirator to the lid margin. More advanced cases were additionally treated by thermotherapy. Conclusion：Our newly designed aspirator is simple, is painless, and can be applied for short duration. It is therefore useful in the treatment of meibomian gland infarction.
