要約　目的：サルコイドーシスでの生検の成績を向上するために，結膜肉芽腫の組織を検索した結果の報告。対象と方法：過去9年間に全身の臨床所見と結膜生検から組織的にサルコイドーシスと診断した13症例15眼を対象とした。結膜生検から得られた病理標本245切片を光学顕微鏡で観察し，写真撮影した結膜肉芽腫の直径，厚さ，上皮からの距離を測定した。結果：上皮から肉芽腫までの距離は0.05～0.14mm（平均0.10mm），厚さは0.12～0.24mm（平均0.16mm），直径は0.21～0.61mm（平均0.38mm）であった。結論：サルコイドーシスでの結膜肉芽腫は結膜固有層に存在する。生検では上皮から0.38mm以上深く切除すれば肉芽腫が得られやすい。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the histopathological findings of conjunctival granuloma in sarcoidosis in order to improve the outcome of biopsy. Objects and Method：This retrospective study was made on 245 biopsy specimens obtained from 15 eyes of 13 patients of sarcoidosis during the past 9 years. The diagnosis were made on systemic and ocular findings including conjunctival biopsy. The specimens were examined and photographed by a light microscope. Results：Distance from the epithelium to granuloma ranged from 0.05 to 0.14mm, average 0.10mm. Thickness of granuloma ranged from 0.12 to 0.24mm, average 0.16mm. Diameter of granuloma ranged from 0.21 to 0.61mm, average 0.38mm. Conclusion：Sarcoid granulomas are located in the stromal layer of conjunctiva. Rate of positive will increase by excising deeper than 0.38mm during biopsy.
