　手術中の眼位を安定させる目的で，僚眼でビデオ画面を固視させる装置を開発した。固視用の画面には6型のDVD液晶カラーテレビを使い，これを手術顕微鏡に接続した。映写する番組は患者に選ばせた。この方法で，白内障50例50眼と，緑内障16例17眼への手術を行った。白内障手術では46眼（92％），緑内障手術では14眼（82％）で手術眼の安定が得られ，順調に手術を行うことができた。この装置は小型であり，患者の不安と緊張を除く効果があり，手術顕微鏡への入力と同時にビデオ画面が自動的に僚眼前に呈示され，通常の顕微鏡手術と同じ方法で施行できた。

　We developed a system that facilitates stabilization of eye position during intraocular surgery. A 6-inch video screen is mounted on the surgical microscope. The patient is instructed to fixate on the screen with the fellow eye during surgery. We performed intraocular surgery on 67eyes of 66 patients. The series comprised 50 eyes of cataract surgery and 17eyes of glaucoma surgery. The operated eye remained stable in 60 cases（90％）.This system is small and eliminates anxiety or stress of the patient during surgery. It is activated automatically after setting the surgical microscope. Surgery can be conducted in the same way as in conventional microsurgery.
