　細胞内膜電位を記録するwhole cell patch法を用い，一酸化窒素（nitric oxide, NO）産生薬物（NOドナー）であるモルシドミンの活性代謝物質（SIN−1）が培養株化神経細胞（NG 108-15）の神経インパルスに及ぼす電気生理作用をin vitroの系で検討した。10μMから100μの濃度では，SIN−1はNG 108-15細胞のカルシウム電流における興奮性インパルスに対し選択的に可逆性の抑制作用を示した。しかし，高濃度（500μMから1mM）では細胞膜におけるイオン電流の選択性はみられなくなり，ナトリウム電流における興奮性インパルスに対しても可逆性の抑制作用を示した。また，この条件下ではカルシウム電流に対する抑制作用はさらに顕著となり，その作用時間も長期化するなどの特徴を有した。したがって，SIN−1は神経細胞の興奮性電気活動を一過性に抑制する生理作用を有するものと考えられる。

The effect of the nitric oxide donor SIN-1 on the membrane potential of cultured mouse neuroblas-toma-rat glioma hybrid NG108-15 cells was inves-tigated using the whole cell patch method. It has been reported that neurite formation can be induced in NG108-15 cells by adding of dibutyryl cyclic AMP to the culture medium. Using this system we found that SIN-1 has a selective inhibitory effect on the membrane potential of the calcium current which is concentration-dependent in the 1μ M-100μM range.
