Abstract 文献概要

　第1篇に於て，癲癇に対するPneumoence-pharography （以下PEG層）の効果を検討し，Pe-tit mal型（以下PM）に対してはConvulsion型（以下Conv．）及びPsychomotor型（以下Psy）より有効であり，又Psyには却つて増悪せしめる例が多いのをみた。

　PEG後の腦波の変化に関しては，従来余り報告されて居らず^{1）2）3）4）5）}而もその成績は区々であつた。Neg in （1951）^2）3）はPEG後，腦波に潜在的異常が賦活されて来ると唱へるがZarling （1951）^4）は特異な変化は認められないといゝLeri-que （1951）^5）は賦活は認めるが，その効果は大したものではないとしている。

In the first part it was found that the thera-peutic effects of PEG upon the epileptic patients varied according to the types of epilepsy, in petit mal seizure the most, in convulsive seizure lesser and in psychomotor seizure the least effective.

In this part, the electroencephalographic studies of these types of epilepsy after PEG were made. In the control group, immediately after PEG fast activities, then up to 6 hours sleightly slow waves were found in some cases, but most cases showed normal activieies and no seizure discharges. In convulsive seizure, from immediately after PEG to 3 hours after, fast activities or lesser slow, from 3 to 24 hours slower activities were found and in this stage 2 of 4 cases with Jacksonian seizures shoswhed focus.

In petit mal epilepsy, seizure discharges were reduced after PEG. In those cases which had showed normal activites before PEG, showed no seizure discharges after PEG.

In psychomostor seizures, those cases which had no negative spikes in the anterior temporel region before PEG , showed spike in 87% in the routine wake records after PEG.

These findings are in good accordance with those of the first part:Petit mal seizure are least activated, psychomotor seizure are most activated and convulsive seizures are first activated then inhibited by PEG.
