緒言
半身麻痺，癲癇，精神分裂病に對して，總頸動腿と内頸靜脈を吻合して腦の血流の一部を逆行させて治療しようと云う試みをば，Sciaroniが行つたが，私は此の方法を多少變化させて追試し，第4回腦神經外科學會で發表したが，その後症例を追加し，且つ最長2年，最短8月の期間を經過したので，その成績を報告する。
We have established an arterio-venous an-astomosis between the common carotid and the internal jugular vein in treatment for patients, 7 paralysis, 2 epilepsies, 2 schisoph-renics.
While one patient has recovered from paraly-sis, but others are not improved, two are dead resulting from intracranial hemorrhage, one is dead through decompensation of the heart and others are complaining of dilatation of heart and pulsating exophthalmus. This operation is dangerous and has too little effect.
