抄録

　わが国の子どもの抑うつについては，いまだに十分な実態が明らかになっていない。そこで，本研究では小中学生における抑うつの実態を検討することを目的とし，調査協力市の全小中学校の小学3年生～中学2年生4,688名を対象に，抑うつ状態，特性不安に関する質問紙全数調査を行った。その結果，評価尺度であるDSRS-Cが2因子構造を持つことを確認し，抑うつ状態のうち，「活動性および楽しみの減退」の側面が，学年が上がるにつれて高くなることを示した。また，先行研究と同様に，一般的な小・中学生の中に抑うつ状態を示す子どもたちが少なからず存在することが把握された。

　A survey was conducted in a city to assess depression, aggression, and trait anxiety in Japanese children and adolescents. The survey participants were 4,683 students (2,414 boys and 2,269 girls from the third to the eighth grades) from all elementary and junior high schools in the concerned city, who were asked to answer a questionnaire. We explored internal structure of the depression self-rating scale for children (DSRS-C) via factor analysis and identified 2 factors. Children from higher grades had higher scores for depression than children from lower grades. These data suggest that the prevalence of self-reported depression is relatively high among Japanese children and adlescents and higher than depression measured using non-self questionnaires.
