Theory of the construction in Spirogram

緒言

　Bronchospirometryが肺機能検査法の一つとして高く評価されるようになり臨床家にも普及されて来た。呼吸生理の一断面とも見るべきSpiro—gramの読解について特に関心をもつて研究されなかつた様に考えたので犬について実験を重ねて来た。その手初めにBenedickt-Roth型Spiro—meterを実験用に改作し除脳犬について脳幹切断と薬物注射によるSpirogramの変化から中枢機構の検討を行つた。特に肺換気の促進，抑制効果を現わすには調節中枢に対する侵襲点の異なるに従つて特有な波形に変ることを確めた。今回は低体温時の換気量曲線，加温過程における変化と脳下垂体，腎上体剔出時の影響を調べまた肺換気を司る脊髄伝導路系神経の切断によつて換気停止が起る際の様相を見た。そしてこれまでに研究をされた生理的な状態では起り得ない多くの換気波の型を分類して見た。なおわれおれは研究の途上肺換気についての用語を或程度統一した方がよいと考えた。例えばSpirometerは肺活量計といつているが連続描記によつて得られる換気量曲線は時間容量を表わしているのでSpirogramは換気図でありSpirometerは換気図計，Spirometryは換気図法とでもいうべきものと考えている。

Spirogram showed no alternation in ventilation curve when dogs could down to 27℃ but occured the accelerative inhibition of ventilation later in case of cooling near to 21℃ in rectal temperature and then ventilation ceased.

In the course of rewarming, the spontaneous respiration represents but the ventilation curve turnes to hillock type without peak in spirogram.

Ventilation ceased when two-thirds of posterior part of spinal cord after laminectomy. However, the convulsion and the movement of nasal breathing were observed in that case.

On the ground of our recent studies on the features of ventilation curve in under hypothermia condition and on ventilation controlled by spinal route, we conclude that the type of ventilation curve is classified to normal and abnormal. The latter is divided into 3 groups, namely, (1) prolonged inspiration (2) prolonged expiration and (3) hillock type without peak.
