要旨●新規画像強調内視鏡（IEE）であるRDI（red dichromatic imaging）は従来のIEEとは異なり，主に治療時に使用する今までにないIEEである．RDIは3色の特定の波長の光を照射することで，それぞれの血中ヘモグロビン（Hb）に対する光吸収特性と組織の光散乱特性の違いによりコントラストを形成する．RDIには3種類のモードがあり，疾患特性に合わせてモードを切り替えて使用する．主な有用性としては，内視鏡治療時の出血点の視認性向上，局注時の血管損傷の予防や食道静脈瘤の確認，潰瘍性大腸炎の炎症活動度診断などが挙げられる．RDIはまだ新しいIEEであり，今後さらなる研究によって診断・治療などにとらわれず幅広い分野での有用性が期待される．

　RDI（red dichromatic imaging）is a novel and unprecedented IEE（image enhanced endoscopy）technique, which is mainly used for treatment, unlike conventional IEE. RDI has three different modes, and the mode can be switched according to the disease characteristics. The main applications of RDI include enhancing the visibility of bleeding points during endoscopic treatment, preventing vascular damage during submucosal injection, confirming the presence of esophageal varices, and evaluating the severity of ulcerative colitis. However, RDI is still a new IEE technique, and further research is needed to explore its use in various fields, including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment.
