環椎骨折を契機に診断されたcraniocervical pneumatizationの1例

craniocervical pneumatizationは主として繰り返しのValsalva手技を誘因として，後天的に頭蓋骨と環椎，軸椎に過剰な含気（hyper-pneumatization）がみられる非常にまれな疾患である。今回，環椎骨折を契機にcraniocervical pneumatizationと診断し，保存的治療（Valsalva手技の禁止）により軽快した1例を経験したので報告する。

Craniocervical pneumatization is very rare condition. Most patients have a chronic history of recurrent Valsalva maneuvers, which thought to be linked to Eustachian tube dysfunction and a ball valve mechanism. The patient presets hyperpneumatization of the skull base and upper cervical spine. We report a case of atlas fracture in a patient with craniocervical pneumatization. Reduction in number of Valsalva maneuvers regressed the pneumatization and improved the symptom.
