5mmフレキシブルビデオスコープのadvanced laparoscopic surgeryにおける有用性

Efficacy of 5mm flexible video scope in advanced laparoscopic surgery

　近年，advanced laparoscopic surgeryをより低侵襲下に行えるように5mmポートを介して使用できる手術器具の開発と導入が進んできた．スコープに関しても5mmポートからも挿入可能なもの，直視鏡と斜視鏡の機能を兼ね備えたもの，片手で操作できるもの，体外部分の取り回しがよいもの，軽量でスコピストへの負担の少ないもの，従来の10mmスコープと同等以上の良好な視野と画質を備えたものなどの条件が求められている．筆者らが開発にかかわったオリンパス社製の5mmフレキシブルビデオスコープは，これらの条件を十分に満たしていると考えられ，腹腔鏡下大腸癌手術をはじめとする難易度の高い内視鏡外科手術への積極的な導入が期待される．

In order to pursue minimally invasiveness in advanced laparoscopic surgery, a lot of 5 mm instruments have recently been developed. Regarding the scope, several conditions of scope which can be passed through 5 mm port, have both frontal view and oblique view, can be handled easily by one hand, small and light with good optic quality are considered to be mandatory. We describe that our 5 mm flexible video scope made by Olympus suf-ficiently have all the above-mentioned conditions. We believe that our 5 mm flexible video scope will be soon in-troduced in the many fields in advanced endoscopic surgery.
