  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The present study was made to elucidate the student's growing process in the basic nursing practice from his behavioral modification reflected in his teachers' evaluation. The subjects were 19 nursing teachers having more than 3 year-standing guidance experiences in the basic nursing practice. Data were collected via teacher's semi-constitutive interviews with their students. The contents of these interviews were recorded in tapes and were analyzed, using the content analyzing technique.

 The following results were obtained.

 1) In terms of aiming at attaining to their practicing objective, the nursing teachers have grasped the combination of the practice growing time and the student's behavioral modification.

 2) In terms of the human relationship between students and patients, the nursing teachers have evaluated the entanglement of student's both representative and inner portions.

 3) The student's growing process has been observed, changing from “student-centered” learning to “patient-centered” learning.

These results suggest that even without subdividing the contents of their evaluation into the behavioral objective, nursing teachers in common involve evaluative criteria through student's growing process.
