はじめに
関節の運動は，中枢神経系，末梢神経系，筋系，骨格系の全てが関与して実行されるため，関節の機能は，これらの総合的な機能としてとらえる必要がある．関節の機能を端的に表現すれば，目的の動作を遂行するためにあり，上肢では作業，下肢では体重支持（荷重）と歩行（移動）が主な役割である．本稿では，関節機能の評価の一手段としての関節モーメントについて，下肢を中心に基礎的内容を述べる．
