高齢に発症した篩骨洞fibrous dysplasia

Fibrous Dysplasia of Ethomoidal Sinus in an Elderly Patient

I．はじめに

　fibrous dysplasia（線糸圏生骨異栄養症）は耳鼻咽喉科のみでなく，広く各科にわたってみられる疾患で，10歳代を中心とした思春期までの報告が多い^1〜8）。最近，われわれは50歳代という高齢に発症し，比較的稀とされている篩骨洞が原発と考えられたfibrous dysplagiaの1例を経験したので報告する。

　Fibrous dysplasia of the ethomoidal sinus was found in an elderly female patient, and skull x-ray showed abnormal shadow in the right ethomoidal sinus, sphenoidal sinus, middle turbinate and temporal bone. Since the patient complained of disturbance of vision, decompression operation was porformed. In this case, hormonal unbalance was suggested to induce fibrous dysplasia. Fibrous dysplasia is often transformed to malignant change, and this patient had been followed carefully to detect malignant transformation.
