篩骨洞天蓋より発生したfibrous dysplasiaの1症例

Monostotic Fibrous Dysplasia of the Ethmoid Sinus

　I．緒言

　線維性・骨性組織の増殖病変であるfibrous dysplasia（線維性骨異形成）は，1932年Weilにより独立疾患として取りあげられ，1938年Lichtenstein^1）により命名されている。以後，①monostotic，②polyostotic，③Albrigh's syndromeの3型に分類され，耳鼻咽喉科のみでなく，整形外科，内科，放射線科，口腔外科など，他科からの報告も多い。

　頭頸部領域では，上顎骨，下顎骨に圧倒的に多く，篩骨洞より発生するものは極めて稀である。

　A case of monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the ethmoid sinus, reported very rarely in Japan, is presented. A 17-year-old boy complained of a gradual and progressive right exophthalmus and epiphora. Radiological examination revealed a huge sclerotic mass occupied in the right frontal and ethmoid sinus. Operation was performed, and a diagnosis of monostotic fibrous dysplasia was made from the specimen.
