Case 1. A 50-year-old woman who had a long-term administration of steroid, presented peripheral facial palsy on both sides at the time interval of six days. Her illness was diagnosed as bilateral Bell's palsy because there was no evidence of systemic diseases.

Case 2. A 58-year-old woman with ovarial tumor and polyneuritis, presented bilateral facial palsy at intervals of two days. CSF tests revealed existence of Guillain-Barre syndrome. After the gynecological operation facial palsy recovered slowly.

In the two cases the recovery was earlier and more complete on the following side than on the preceding side of facial palsy.
