鼻内異物（水銀電池）による鼻中隔穿孔の1症例

PERFORATION OF THE NASAL SEPTUM CAUSED BY MERCURY BATTERY

　1．はじめに

　鼻腔内に古い腐触した水銀電池を挿入し，そのために鼻中隔の穿孔を来たした4歳の女児の1症例を経験したので，水銀電池の鼻内異物としての意義について2,3の考察を加えてここに報告する。

　A girl, aged 4, suffering from perforation of the nasal septum caused by inadvertantly inserted foreign body inserted in the nose, is reported. The perforation was apparently due to a chemicaly burn caused by leakage of caustic potash from the battery.

　The author emphasises that some of the foreign bodys in the nose will result in, not only physical blockage but also chemical injuries.
