職業性鼻中隔穿孔

NASAL SEPTAL PERFORATION AS AN OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD

　本資料は昭和38年11月（1963）に調査した臨床成績であるが，未発表に放置すること意にそわずあえて報告する。近年，労働災害防止施設およびその対策が進歩改善されて，現況ではかかる障害も未然に防止し得ると考えられるが，当時観察し得た臨床成績を報告する。

　The author in 1963 was requested to make a physical check-up of 48 employees of a certain chrome plating factory in Yamaguchi-Ken.

　Fourteen patients were found to be affected with a marked allergic symptoms along with nasal septal necrosis and inflammatory ulcerations in some.

　Septal perforation was found in 4 cases (8.3%) but none of these seemed to be affected sinusitis.

　These employees are constantly exposed to the poisonous gas produced by the plating process and the author considers this gas to be the culprit of the affection and calls attention to the necessity of removing such a hazzard.
