Ⅰ.緒言
嗅覚の測定は,Henning1),Zwaardemaker2)以来多くの研究がなされ,Zwaardemaker,Elsberg3)らは各種嗅覚計による測定法を発表した。しかし,その後最近に至るまで静脈法が新たに加わつたのみで原理的に特に著しい進歩は認められない。
本邦においても,これら欧米の業績に刺激され,嗅党の研究は久保9)に始まり初期に飯田10),合馬ら11)の報告がみられ,最近では松田12),市原ら13)の研究がある。
In a certain instance of a leakage occurring in the city gas supply, the employee of the company, aged 28, failed to detect and report this incidence claiming that he was affected with anosmia. The individual was, then, sujected to the objective olf actometry by means of psychogalvanic skin response test following the application of pressure and intravenous tests.
For the pressure tests the source of odor was sought in the city gas, acetylene and ammonia, with pure-air as a control. For intravenous tests 2 cc of 10 mg alinamin was introduced into the brachial vein. Immediately after each procedure the psychogalvanic skin response PSR was noted.
The duration in which the PSR lasted with the intravenous test was slightly shortened in comparison with that of a normal person. But, with the pressure tests the PSR differed very slightly from those of a normal persons, under these circumstances, it was concluded that, there is no reason at all why the individual could not have recognized the smell of the leaking gas.
