喉頭食道異常感特に食道アトニーとの関係について（第3報）

ESOPHAGEAL ATONY AND ABNORMAL SENSATION OF THE LARYNX AND ESOPHAGUS (REPORT No.3)

　Ⅰ．緒言

　喉頭食道異常感については会厭軟骨性咽喉頭神経症，慢性限局性浮腫性食道炎，喉頭蓋異常，舌根扁桃腺肥大，Xerostomia，頸椎の変形など諸氏によつて称えられているが，われわれは第1報（耳鼻と臨床，1巻3号p．197）第2報（日気食，8巻2号，p．1）において該症候を探索し，特に食道アトニー（以下食アと略す）が重要な一因子を占めていることを述べたが，今回はその後続いて施行した成績を報告し，諸賢の御批判を乞わんとするものである。

　One hundred fifty four patients, 34 males and 120 females, complaining of disturbances of the larynx and esophagus were given physical examination. In majority of cases esophageal atony was found to be the cause of the disturbance, while others were found to be affected with esophageal atony combined with lingual tonsilltis or with esophagitis. To 128 patients with esophageal atony Vagostigmin was administered parenterally. Symptoms in 96 patients either disappeared or were alleviated. Psychological examination of other patients who failed to respond to this latter treatment revealed listlessness as the characteristic feature of these patients.
