副鼻腔炎に対する蛋白同化ホルモン（マクロビン）の使用経験

MACROBIN-A PROTEIN ANABOLIC HORMONE FOR TREATMENT OF CHRONIC SINUSITIS

　Ⅰ．緒論

　副鼻腔炎の発症に関しては細菌による感染，アレルギー，個体の体質，局所的条件など，種々の因子が役割を演じていると考えられている。それに対して，種々の抗生物質，抗アレルギー剤，ステロイドホルモン等，又それらの併用療法が行われ，その臨床的報告は数多く見られる。

　しかし，それらの治療法も，急性炎症の時期にはある程度の効果を示すが，慢性炎症に移行した場合には，これらによる効果は微々たるものがある。

For treatment of paranasal sinusitis macro-bin, a protein anabolic hormone, was used par-entrally and orally. For outpatient treatments the agent was administered for the period of 10 to 30 days in succession. In 70% of cases the results were highly satisfactory. For operative cases macrobin was administ-ered intramuscularly for the period of 20 days. It seemed to have facilitated the regeneration and epitheliazation of the mucous membrane. No side effect was noted.
