複合性副鼻腔炎に対するα-ChymotrypsinのNebulizerの使用経験例

SOME EXPERIENCE IN THE USE OF α-CHYMOTRY-PSIN THROUGH NEBULIZER IN THE TREATMENT MULTIPLE SINUSITIS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　欧米においては以前より蛋白分解酵素の抗炎症作用についての多くの基礎的臨床的な研究が行なわれて来た。

　Trypsinと同様に膵臓蛋白分解酵素であるα-chymotrypsinは1933年Kunitz Northropによつて発見されTrypsinより強力な抗炎症作用を有し且非毒性その他の利点を有していることが明らかにされるにつれてα-chymotrypsinへの関心も高まつてきた。或国においてもα-chymotrypsinは各科領域における炎症性疾患それに伴う血腫，腫張，発熱に対し又粘性膿液の融解除去に対する酵素療法として注目されるに至つた。

　The treatment of multiple sinusitis by a-chymotripsin through a nebulizer was successful in 15 cases out of the 36 when it was supplemented by antibiotics and 6 cases out of the 15 when the agent was employed alone. The agent appeared to be the more effective when it was employed in acute sinusitis rather than the chronic; and, in the chronic cases it seemed to be more effective towards cases with mucoid discharges rahter than than those with pure pus discharges. When the agent was used supplemented by administration of chloromycetin the results appeared to be more effective than as not.
