両側後筋麻痺に対する喉頭手術の経験

　Ⅰ．緒言

　両側後筋麻痺に対する喉頭手術は海外においてはKing，Woodman等による喉頭外手術，Réthi等による喉頭内手術と特に米国を中心として盛んであるが本邦においては我々の調べた範囲では少なく，山下の記載によると12例に気管切開以外の喉頭手術が行われ，その後切替が1例，高橋が3例，小林他が5例の手術例の報告をみるのみである。もともと両側後筋麻痺はその発生からして稀であり手術例も当然少ないのであるが，著者等は甲状腺手術に由来したと思われる本症の1例に対しWoodmanの手術法に準じて披裂軟骨摘出並びに声帯側方固定術を経験したので報告しあわせて若干の考察を行つた。

　Arytenoidectomy and lateral fixation of the vocal cords were perfromed in accordance to Woodman's operation after 10 months of observation on a case of bilateral abductor paralysis in a woman, aged 42, which occurred as a complication from the previous thyroid. surgery. The operation was a success as far as making the patient breathe easier but the quality of her voice was to an extent degraded. Various postoperative observations are noted and discussed.
