生前上顎癌を思わせた幼児多発性骨髄腫の1例

　I．はしがき

　従来多発性骨髄腫は脊柱，肋骨などより発生し，40歳以上の男子に多く，幼弱者に生ずることは稀であるとされ，本邦に於て過去20年間に20歳以下の者に本症の発生を報告したものは僅か10例にすぎない^{1）3）5）6）7）8）11）}。最近私共は生後1年半の男子の上顎骨に初発した多発性骨髄腫で，生前上顎癌を思わせた極めて珍らしい症例を経験し，幸にして詳細な剖検を得たのでここに報告する。

Symptoms of swelling of the right cheek and exophthalmosis of the right eye were complained of in an infant, aged 1 year and 6 months. With a diagnosis of maxillary sinu-sitis the infant was operated upon. Micro-scopic examination of the removed tissue was reported as unspecific malignancy. The pa-tient was treated with irradiation therapy but finally died about 6 months after the operation. Post mortem examination of the tissue proved the affection to be a multiple myeloma.
