　I．緒言

　乳幼児の上顎に急性炎症がおこつた場合，急性上顎洞炎，上顎骨炎，上顎骨骨髄炎等と称されているが，本疾患の病勢は進展が極めて早く，原発部位の判別は困難である。最近我々は興味ある経過をとつた3症例を経験したので報告する。

Onaka reports 2 cases of acute purulent maxillary sinusitis in infants who were less than 1 year of age. It is generally regarded that sinusitis at this age of infancy is rather rare in occurrence, but actually there are much more cases than one may ever expect.

In these cases the inflammatory process would not be limited to the sinus cavity alo-ne but it has a tendency to involve the ma-xilla as osteomyelitis.

Radical sinus operation was performed in both cases: the patients recovered.
