耳鳴に対するニコチン酸（ナイクリン）の使用経験

　緒言

　耳鳴は耳或はその附近の疾患の中で最も厄介な症状の一つである。耳鳴が人の性格に及ぼす影響は大きく，患者は耳鳴の為に神経質となり不眠を訴えたり，憂鬱症に陥つたりする。

　さて，耳鳴の成因については古来種々論ぜられているが，大別して感音系組織の異常興奮によるもの及び伝音系組織の変化に基くものとされている。しかし臨床的にも種々の因子が関係しておりまだ未解決の点も多く，したがつて治療も多くは消極的な方法が試みられているにすぎない。ただ従来の報告を通覧すれば，聴器の血行改善の目的で血管拡張剤を投与し効果があつたとするものが比較的多い。

Yamagata and associates employed nicotinic acid (nyclin) in treatment of tinnitus in 37 patients 59 ears and found it to be effective in 54% of cases.

The agent was administered intravenously beginning with 20mg doese and gradually in-creased to 80mg.

The effectivity of the drug appeared to be stronger in tinnitus of recnt origin and those characterized by intermittancy rather than constancy.

No difference in effectiveness was noted by the pitch of the tinnitus.
