扁剔の血圧に及ぼす影響

　扁桃と血圧との関係に就ては従来実験的に，或は臨床的に観察せられているが未だ定説を欠いでいる。即ちMasiniは犬，牛及び人の扁桃浸出液を海猽に注射し血圧が上昇する事を証明し，逆にScheyerは之を追試して血圧は下降すると言い，又Pugnetは血圧に変化なしと反駁している。

　然しながら臨床的に扁剔前と術後の血圧を検しこれを詳細に報告した業績は少い。私は先年扁剔の血圧に及ぼす影響に就て発表したが少数例に過ぎなかつたので，其の後検索を続け100例に達したので茲に報告する。

　Kaneko investigated the effects of tosillectomy on blood pressure changes in 100 individuals whose ages ranging from 12 to 45. For the sake of uniformity in taking of the blood pressure before and after operation, Riva-Rocci blood pressure apparatus was used with the subject in a recumbent position. A certain interval of rest was allowed before the daily taking. It was found that in majority of cases lowering of blood pressure occurrcd about the 6th postoperative day. Cases that showed lowering after tonsillectomy far exceeded that may show a rise. All cases who were affected with nephritic complications resulted in lowering of blood pressure after tonsillectomy.
