トリプシンの耳鼻科領域に於ける応用

　Ⅰ．まえがき

　慢性副鼻腔炎や慢性化膿性中耳炎に対する姑息的治療は，近年，各種抗生物質の登場により，向上しつゝあるとはいえ，他方，諸種治療法をもつてしても，なお，難治な症例も尠なくない。

　これらは，炎症の結果としての結合織増殖，粘液腺増殖或いは粘液・膿汁の潴溜等に基因するものであつて，このような症例においては，患者は屡々膿性分泌物の流出を一大愁訴とするばかりでなく，その分泌物の潴溜は，更に，炎症を悪化せしむることも想像に難くないので，吾々としても決して等閑視出来ないところである。

　Takasu and associates state that the use of trypsin in the field of otolaryngology, particularly in treatments of chronic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, postoperative care of sinus operations and of maxillary sinus cancer operations and also in that of chronic purulent otitis media, has been in their hands highly favorable. The outstanding characteristic of this agent which is deveid of any side effects appears to be its action causing enzymatic debridement assisting the healing of lesions.
