副鼻腔炎手術操作の視器に及ぼす影響に就いて

　副鼻腔と視器は解剖学的に隣接し合うので，副鼻腔疾患が視器に影響を及ぼすことのあることは認められておる事実であります。副鼻腔と視器との関係で最も問題にされるものは，その発生機転に関しては今尚論争されておる鼻性視神経炎であります。視力障碍がありその原因が鼻性と思われるとき，副鼻腔手術を施行して視力が回復することは臨床上経験さております。

　さて視器障碍を訴えない慢性副鼻腔炎患者の手術的処置の場合，観血的操作が健康視器に何等かの影響を及ぼすものかどうかを，私は手術前後の視力，眼圧，視野を測定して検討したので以下簡単に記載致します。

Kodama and Isiwatari find that in about 50 % of cases who complained of visionary distur-bances made a definite improvement after op-erative cure of sinusitis was established among them. No changes were noted thereby, in the amount of ocular tension. But, among those showing improvement there were a definite in-crease in the size of the field of vision though, as an immediate postoperative effect it showed a contraction which soon recovered.
