孤立性鼻腔アミロイド腫症例

　Ⅰ．緒言

　孤立性アミロイド腫に就ては次の三つの場合が考えられる。

　1）予め存在する慢性炎症（結核，梅毒，細菌感染）や腫瘍え2次的にアミロイド沈着が起つたもの，2）全身アミロイド症の一つとしてアミロイドが局所に蓄積して腫瘍状となつたもの，3）アミロイド症が異常な局在性を持つた為めにアミロイド物質により腫瘍状となつたもの。

Yamakawa and associates report a case of amyloid tumor of the nasal cavity. The present case is the first to be thus reported in this country and to be the fifth in the literature of the world, the authors state. The patient, a man aged 45, is found in a condition that he has been unable to breathe through the nose for the last 30 years. Examination revealed the right nasal cavity to be completely occupied by tumor mass, cartilagenous hard to touch, dark-reddish in color and smooth to surface appea-rance. The left nasal cavity was found to be thoroughly occluded by growths of polyps;the posterior nasal cavity was also found to be filled similar masses. The hard tumor was removed by repeated chisselling that required 14 sittings by one of the authors, Dr. Yamaka-wa. Histologically the tumor proved to be amy-loid in nature and showed metachromasia;the surrounding tissus were found to be infill-trated by giant celles, round cells, multinuclear leucocytes as well as lymphocytes.
