—佐藤教授開講廿週年記念論文—後頭導靜脈血栓及び側頭葉膿瘍を併發せる耳性小腦膿瘍の1治驗例

　耳性脳膿瘍殊に小脳の場合は稀で二本杉氏の宿題報告でも10ケ年間の平均1年3例である．然し現在迄の其等多数の報告例に依つて凡らゆる事が簡明されて來て居る．最近はSulfamin及びPenicillinの発明により之を見る事は更に稀であるが，一度び小脳膿瘍に罹患すると死亡率は以前同樣に非常に高い．私は幸にも治癒し而も其の治癒過程に興味ある点が多々あるので茲に報告する．

Kamio reports intra-carotid parenteral injecti-on of dextrose solution is the means by which occipital sinus thrombosis in a case was brought to a successful cure without resorting to further operative interventions. A boy 13 years of age is found affected with cerebellar abcess of the left side which developed from cholesteatoma of the ear on the same side. Operation is perfo-rmed to reveal the site of dural penetration by the process at the region of sigmoid sinus ; and it is finished with insertion, of a large rubber drain to ease adequate drainage. During the progress of postoperative treatment the patient developed occipital sinus thrombosis but it was cured by intra-carotid injection of dextrose sol-ution.
