耳性側頭葉膿瘍治験例

　近年種々の抗菌性物質の発見普及につれて従来不幸な転帰を取る事が多かつた耳性頭蓋内合併症も其の予後は大いに改善されるに至つた。私等は最近，慢性中耳炎の急性増悪によつて発生し，予後不良と想われた，左側頭葉膿瘍を幸い何等の後遺症もなく全治させ得たので其の経過を報告する。

SAMBE AND HASEGAWA report a case of temporal lobe abcess which resulted as a co-mplication from an acute exacerbation of chro-nic otitis media. The patient was comatose when admitted to the hospital and the condit-ion, from blood, spinal fluids and eye-ground examinations appeared to be suggestive of a brain tumor. After the operation the patient developed verbal and visual aphasia which las-ted for a considerable period of time but, fina-lly recovered without residual after-effects.
