喉頭結核症と赤血球沈降反應

　緒言

　肺結核と赤沈反應とに密接な關係のあることは改めて云ふまでもない．併し喉頭結核患者に於ける喉頭病變の程度と赤沈との關係に就ては未だ定見はない樣である．喉頭結核は通常肺結核に續發するものであり，又その犯される範圍も小さい所から，その病變が赤沈の樣な全身的に關係ある現象にさしたる影響を與へないであらうといふことは誰でも一應は考へるが^1），その確證はない．之に對して喉頭病變の強さと血沈促進度とは並行するといふ考へ^2）もある．この點を明にするために，私は若干の統計學的考察を試み，稍満足すべき解答を得たと信じ，諸賢の御參考に供せんとする次第である．

Sedimentation rate of red blood cells was de-termined in 130 patients with laryngeal tnberculo-sis. When the lesion .is circumscribed to the larynx alone, there were no noticeable effect on this rate; but, when the lungs are involved it was increased in proportion with the size of the lesion.
