肺結核患者に於ける喉頭結核と鼻オツエーナ

　多數の肺結核患者を取扱い，而かも耳鼻咽喉科專門醫（と行かなくとも喉頭所見を觀察し得る醫師）の居ない療養所のようなところに於て，醫師が患者の主訴のみによつて簡單に喉頭結核の診斷を下し，患者に大きな精神的打撃を與えている場合のあることを私はしばしば觀た．

　結核患者には單純性オツエーナ（所謂症候性萎縮性鼻炎）が非結核者に比して遙かに多く，ために慢性咽喉頭炎や慢性扁桃腺炎を起し頸痛（のどが痛い）嗄聲，咽喉頭部異物感等を訴える者の少くないことは吾々のよく經驗せる所である．

Ozena Seems to be the affection of majority of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 70% of those. with laryngeal tuberculosis. Much of laryngeal symptoms in patients with tuderculosis may be attributed to this condition; periodical chek-up examination. of these patients by otola-ryngologists is highly desireable.
