  • Look Inside

Superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery bypasssurgery (STA-MCA bypass) has been widely accepted aneffective treatment for ischemic cerebrovascular disease interms of improvement of neurological signs as well as ofprevention for repeated attack.

However, an indication of bypass surgery for the patientswith completed stroke is still obscure.

For making the surgical indication more clear, the authorshave been studying for the establishment of the preoperativetests predicting functional recovery following STA-MCAbypass surgery.
