  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A role of basal moyamoya networks on cerebral circula-tion in moyamoya disease has not been clarified, mainlybecause of methodological limitation.

Recently, Xenon enhanced CT or positron emission tomo-graphic method has been introduced and more precise infor-mation on rCBF in the sites deeply located, became possibleto be obtained. In addition, methods commonly used, such as 133Xe clearance method, have been improved.

The authors measured rCBF in 7 patients with moyamoyadisease, by means of 133Xe intracrarotid injection methodwhich was improved so as to he obtained as many reliableclearance curves as 87.
