実験的持続Endotoxin血症による脳病変

Brain lesions in experimental endotoxemia.

I．はじめに

　中枢神経系の循環障害を惹起させる実験モデルは多数あるが，Endotoxin（ET）投与による研究は数少ない。またヒトの臨床例に起こる播種性血管内凝固（DIC）のモデルとして，単数または複数のET bolus投与による実験報告はあるが，ヒトのDIC症例にみられるような脳障害に近いモデルとはなっていない。

　われわれは成熟ラットにヒト臨床例により近い状態の持続的ET血症を誘導し，高率にDICを発症させた。ヒトDICに類似すると考えられる本モデルにより，成熟哺乳類動物の全身，とくに脳への影響について検索を行なったので報告する。

A sustained endotoxemia was induced in 52 Donryu strain male rats by continuous intravenous infusion of commercial bacterial endotoxin. After 72 to 92 hours, multiple lesions of ball or ring hemorrhages surrounding small cerebral vessels developed in 8 rats (15.4%). Focal anterior pituitary necrosis also occurred in 3 rats (5.8%), but none of the 52 rats showed cerebral infarction. Outside the central nervous system, intraalveolar hemorrhage and pulmonary edema, massive hepatic necrosis, occlusion of glomerular capillary tufts by fibrin thrombi (evidence of DIC) and occasional myocardial necrosis were also found.
