筋萎縮性側索硬化症の仙髄病変，とくにOnuf核の所見について

Note on a certain motoneuron group of the sacral cord (Nucl. Onuf)in ALS

はじめに

　最近，われわれ^10）は筋萎縮性側索硬化症（以下ALS）の仙髄を検索し，仙髄前角の運動ニューロンは他のレベルと同様にほとんど消失しているにもかかわらず，第二仙髄前角中の特殊な神経細胞群group Ⅹ（Onuf）がほぼ正常の姿で残存していることを見出した。そして，この所見は，末期に至るまで膀胱直腸機能が保持されるというALSの臨床的特徴となんらかの関連があると考えたのである。

　今回はALSの仙髄の所見を再検討するとともに，正常対照例におけるgroup Ⅹ（われわれはこれをOnuf核とも記載する）の所見，その文献上の記載を検討したい。

In amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, the sphincter muscles of the bladder and rectum are character-istically spared until the latest stage of the illness. Although this is one of the most remarkable clinical characteristics of the disease, very few pathological studies have been done to substan-tiate the finding. In the anterior horns of the sacral cord, cell groups which innervate various muscles in the lower limbs are known to be located.
