臨床的に定型的なる筋萎紬性側索硬化症の症状を呈した1例について，精細なる病理組織学的検索を行い，皮質より脊髄全般に亘り全錐体路系に選択的変性所見を認め，且つ之等は臨床経過と甚だよく対応している事を確めた。
尚錐体外路系に属する橄欖核に著明なるSkle-roseを認めた。
Histopathological changes of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in the whole central nervous system,from the cortex to the spinal cord, were carefully studied in one case which show-ed typically its clinical symptoms. The results are as follows :
1) The most characteristic change is the selective degeneration of the whole pyramidal system from the motor cortex to the spinal cord. And this entirely corresponds to clinical symptoms.
2) Furthermore, abnormaly excessive scle-rosis is found in the Nucl. olivaris which belo-ngs to the extrapyramidal system.
