フルタミドの投与中止により前立腺特異杭原値が低下した進行性前立腺癌

PROSTATE SPECIFIC ANTIGEN DECLINE AFTER FLUTAMIDE WITHDRAWAL IN A PATIENT WITH ADVANCED PROSTATE CANCER

　66歳，男性。進行性前立腺癌患者にLH-RHアゴニストとフルタミドを投与していたが，経過中にPSA値の上昇，腰痛の増悪がみられた。肝機能障害が出現してきたためフルタミドの投与を中止したところ，PSA値は著明に低下し腰痛も軽快した。欧米で報告例の増加しているf1utamide withdrawal syndromeの1例を報告した。

A 66 year-old-male with advanced prostate cancer was treated with LH-RH agonist and flutamide. Subsequently the disease progressed biochemically with sequential increases in PSA, and clinically with development of severe lumbago. Flutamide was discontinued because of the liver dysfunction. After withdrawal of flutamide PSA decreased and lumbago was relieved. A case of "flutamide withdrawal syndrome" is reported.
