前立腺癌に対する放射線併用療法の検討

Study of adjuvant radiation therapy for prostate cancer

　抗男性ホルモン療法を行った前立腺癌284例のうち101症例に放射線外照射を併用した。これらの症例を臨床病期別および分化度別に群分けをした。全症例と各群について放射線併用群と放射線非併用群について，平均生存日数の差異を検討した。全例および各群では放射線併用によって平均生存日数の延長を認めたが，推計学的に有意差を認めたのは臨床病期Cと低分化群だけであった。この2群では年齢および抗男性ホルモン療法の種類は照射腺併用群と非併用群とに差はなかった。臨床病期Cと低分化の症例では放射線外照射を併用することで前立腺癌の予後は改善される。

In 101 out of 284 patients with prostate cancer on antian-drogen therapy, external beam radiation was given con-curently The patients were grouped according to the clinical stage and tumor differentiation. For the whole study population and for each group, the mean survival times of patients with and without concurrent radiation therapy were culculated and compared. This showed that the mean survival time of the patients receiving concurrent radiation therapy was prolonged in the whole study population as well as in each group.
