症例は69歳，女性。1993年3月，肺癌に対して右下葉切除術を施行（扁平上皮癌）。以後，外来にて経過観察中であったが，1994年10月より38.5℃前後の発熱を認めたため精査したところ，超音波，CT，血管造影の各検査より右腎細胞癌が疑われたため，根治的右腎摘除術を施行した。病理組織学的には，肺原発の転移性扁平上皮癌であった。
A 70-year-old female, who underwent right lower lobectomy for lung cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) one year and seven months previously, complained of high grade fever. CT scan, ultrasonography and angio-graphy revealed a primary right renal cell carcinoma. Right radical nephrectomy was performed and his-tological diagnosis was a metastatic renal tumor originat-ing from a pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma.
