　症例は56歳男性，左側腹部痛を主訴として来院した。DIP,CTにて左腎腫瘍を認めた。二度の化学塞栓術の後，腫瘍は縮小し，疼痛も消失した。摘出腫瘍の病理組織は血管周囲細胞腫であった。腎発生血管周囲細胞腫は比較的稀であり，本症例が本邦6例目であった。血管周囲細胞腫は約半数が悪性であり，その治療は広汎な外科的摘除が重要であるが，化学塞栓術は術中出血量を減少させ，外科的治療の有力な補助手段と思われた。

A 56-year-old man was hospitalized because of severe left flank pain. DIP and CT revealed a large mass of the left kidney. After transcatheter arterial chemoembolization, the size of mass was reduced and flank pain was disappeared. Nephrectomy was performed and microscopic examination of the tumor revealed renal hemangiopericytoma. Renal hemangiopericytoma is relatively rare and only six cases have ever been reported. About a half of hemangiopericytoma was malignant. So it is important to remove the tumor entirely.
