緒言
黄色肉芽腫性腎盂腎炎は腎の慢性感染症のうちで黄色の肉芽腫を伴つた特異な疾患であり，病理組織学的には脂肪顆粒を含んだ泡沫細胞の存在を特徴とする。本疾患は腎細胞癌あるいはWilms腫瘍との鑑別診断上問題となることがある。一般的には中年女性に多く，小児に発生することはかなり稀である。今回われわれは3歳男児の黄色肉芽腫性腎盂腎炎の1例を経験したので報告し，併せて本邦における小児報告例についての若干の考察を加える。
A case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis in a 3-year-old boy was presented. This is the 8th case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis in childhood reported in Japan.
We reviewed these 8 cases tersely and emphasized that xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis should be included in the differential diagnosis of renal enlargement and fever or non-functioning kidney during infancy and childhood.
