Metastatic tumors of the ureter, especially carcinoma metastasis from opposite side of the kidney are very rare.

In this paper an autopsy case of 74-year old male with metastatic renal cell carcinoma of rt. ureter from It. kidney was reported.

The patient was lt. nephro-ureterectomised for lt. renal cell carcinoma on Apr. 1975. On Feb. 1978 he readmitted our hospital with the chief complaints of headache and anorexia, and diagnosed as renal failure associated with hydronephrosis of the remainder: the retrograde pyelography showed hydroneph-rosis and stenosis of the ureter.
