リニア電子スキャンによる経直腸前立腺縦断層法

TRANSRECTAL LONGITUDINAL ULTRASONOTOMOGRAPHY OF THE PROSTATE BY ELECTRONIC LINEAR SCANNING

緒言

　前立腺の超音波診断は，経直腸的診断法^1）をはじめとして，経尿道的^2），経腹的^3），経会陰的診断法^4）などが行なわれている。走査法としては，セクタ走査^5），リニア走査^6）も試みられているが，主としてラジアル走査が用いられ，既に泌尿器科領域のルーチン検査法としての地位が確立されている。今回われわれは，東芝総合研究所MEグループと共同開発した体腔式リニア電子スキャンを用いて，経直腸前立腺縦断層法を試み，若干の知見を得たので報告する。

We newly developed a handy electronic linear scanning probe for intracorporeal use. By transrectal scanning with this probe, we can observe, in real time, the longitudinal tomogram of the prostate,seminal vesicles and the urinary bladder. This real time observation makes it much easier to examine the relationship of the prostate with its surrounding organs, especially the bladder neck and the prostatic urethra at the time of urination (voiding echography).
