膀胱鏡検査および尿道ブジー挿入における混合ガス麻酔の効果

EFFECT OF THE PREMIXED GAS INHALATION ON THE PAIN DURING CYSTOSCOPY AND INSERTION OF URETHRAL SOUND

はじめに

　われわれの日常の診療において膀胱鏡および尿道ブジーの挿入は必須のものであるが，これらの器具の挿入の際には患者に非常な苦痛を与えている。われわれはこれまで通常キシロカインゼリーによる表面麻酔によりこれら器具の挿入を行なつて来たが，除痛効果は十分とはいえない。何か安全で簡単な操作で確実に鎮痛できるものはないかと思つていたところ，笑気と酸素の混合ガスであるAnesoxinなる吸入麻酔剤が発売されていることを知つた。最近，この混合ガスを使用すると，かなり除痛効果があり，安心してブジーおよび膀胱鏡操作のできることを知つたので，その成績を報告する。

The analgesis effect of inhalation of a premixed gas, 50% nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen during the insertion of cystoscope and urethral sound was examined in 20 patients with urologic diseases. As a result, this premixed gas was found to be very effective to eliminate the pain during the insertion of these instruments. No noticeable side effect was observed.
