PROSTATECTOMY:A COMPARISON BETWEEN OPEN SURGERY AND TUR

緒言

　前立腺肥大症は老人病の一つと考えられ，日本人の平均寿命の延長に伴い，高齢者での手術件数が増加してきている。われわれは当教室で最近行なわれた前立腺肥大症に対する手術をOpen surgeryとTURとに分け，その適応および術後成績を検討し，若干の考察を加えた。

A retrospective evaluation was made on 22 cases of open prostatectomies and 26 cases of TUR-prostate regarding preoperative risk, operative and postoperative complications.

Majority of the patients in this group presented with associated diseases such as anemia and/or coronary insufficiency while only 6 patients were free from such complications preoperatively. TUR-prostate was the procedure of choice for the high risk aged patients.
